Host: Welcome to our new episode! Today, we are going to interview 4 special guests and try to solve their situation. They are: Meimei, Vincent, Meimei’s mom and Lau Po.
First let's listen to their story.
Meimei: Hi, I’m Meimei. I’m a chess player and I’m tired that my mom is always forcing me to do the things that she wants.
Meimei’s mom: I’m Meimei’s mom and I’m only trying that she becomes a successful person, that’s why I tell her to join important things.
Host: Mmm, ok. Now, Lau Po and Vincent.
Lau Po: Meimei is an excellent girl and she is super good at chess. I think she is capable of doing anything for herself.
Vincent : When my sister escaped, I was sad that she left me. Then, my mom told us that we have to ignore Meimei when she arrives home, at that moment I thought that I would not see her anymore.
Meimei’s mom: Meimei doesn’t understand that she is still a kid and does not know what she does, she needs someone to guide her to succeed in life.
Meimei: Yes, I need someone to guide me, not to control my whole life. If I say no to a thing, it's no, you can’t force me to do something. Also I feel uncomfortable when you start saying “This is my daughter Wave-ly Jong” to everyone.

Meimei’s mom: Thank you host. I want you to understand that I do not control you, I only take you to the path of success, so that you are not a failure in this world. Dear host, what I wanted for my daughter was to protect her from the world and also to support her to be a successful girl in life.
Meimei: What you have done doesn’t seem like you want that for me.

Lau po: I have always thought that Meimei is an exceptional girl but it didn't seem good to me that she escaped from home, they are your family and you can’t do that to them.
Meimei’s mom: Exactly, we are your family. Why did you escape? I have taught you to be smart, to make the right decisions, not this.
Meimei: You don’t understand me, you think that I’m your perfect daughter but I’m not.
Host: Meimei the only thing that your mother has done is protect you but also being overprotective is bad because you are not giving her the freedom to make her own decisions and that is also part of growing up, of becoming independent for the future, so if you love her so much and want that she become a successful person let her grow.
Meimei: Yeah, that’s right, I shouldn’t have done that, I’m sorry mom and Vincent. And mom, now that you are saying, I do think that what you only want for me is that I’m ok.
Meimei’s mom: Yes my dear, and I’m also sorry if you felt that I was trying to force you to do things that you didn’t want to. I will try to be a better mom for you.
Meimei: And I will try to be a better daughter for you.
Meimei’s mom: You already are.
