Thomas Lane, Implicated in the Death of George Floyd, Released on Bail
One of the 4 cops implicated in the death of George Floyd in Minnesota, USA, was released this Wednesday from Hennepin County Jail after posting bond.
Thomas Lane’s bail had been set at $1 million. The 37-year-old ex police officer has been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree unintentional murder and second-degree manslaughter. However his lawyer, Eric Gray, said it was his defendant who asked the deceased to change his position, because his life was in danger.
After he was arrested, "a website was created to raise money for bail, arguing in his favor that Lane did everything possible to save Floyd’s life," Gray said. Lane's attorney also stated the case against his client is "weak" and that he had been working at the Minneapolis Police Department for four days at the time of the Floyd incident, according to Minneapolis TV station KARE.

For his safety his current residence is unknown, but it's claimed he is in a safe place, due to all the threats he received after Floyd's death.
