Percy Jackson Adaptation!
Today
is a good moment to be a Percy Jackson fan.
We,
fans of Percy Jackson, have suffered a lot throughout the years due to
adaptations. There was a previous cinematographic adaptation, but...how to say
it nicely?...It was a complete disaster.
To
begin with, the characters in the book are 12 years old! and they decided that
it was a good idea to hire actors that looked 17, even when part of the magic
of Percy Jackson is how the characters grow as the books pass by.
Besides,
as if that wasn’t enough, they did not respect at all the original plot of the
story! they changed scenes, took out important parts of the book and even
changed some dynamics between the characters.
It
was...awful. We couldn't stop yelling at the screen, we were so angry. And we
weren’t the only ones upset, the rest of the fans and even the author hated the
movie. And a second one was released, just to turn out even worse than the
first one. A mess.
A
broadway musical was released a few years ago, different to the movie, this one
was well received, with beautiful songs and a funny dynamic, but it wasn’t
enough, due to the fact that it only addressed the content of the first book.
But
a few weeks ago, the news came, a series is going to be produced and published
on Disney plus! Different from the movies, the fans are hyped up about this
one, because Rick Riordan himself promised to supervise its development and
there will be more focus on the details due to the fact that it will be a
serie.

We
are DYING to see it and we can't wait anymore!
