Real Death Toll in Venezuela
During a videoconference, José Miguel Vivanco, director of HRW for the Americas said: "We believe that the numbers, the statistics provided by the government of Venezuela, Maduro’s statistics, are absolutely absurd and not credible."
The Venezuelan government confirmed more than 1.000 cases of COVID-19 but remains in 10 deaths, this is absurd to the Human Rights Watch Organization taking into account the poor health service offered by the country. As well this organization stated: "It is not possible that in a country where doctors don't have water to wash their hands in hospitals there are just over 1,000 confirmed cases of coronavirus and only 10 deaths,"
They believe it's a matter of time, and urge the Venezuelan Government to show the real statistics of the victims. As well if Humanitarian aid isn't provided, soon we will have to deal with multiple deaths.
The Venezuelan Government continues to deny these allegations, and confirme once more the numbers, they claim to be transparent and even showed how many infected came from countries such as Colombia, Brazil, and other's in Latin America.
