Echoes of an Overthrown Totalitarian

Bolivia’s Crisis

Many people do not know what is happening in Bolivia, but  in this essay you could find everything about Bolivia’s crisis.

The main problem of this crisis resulted when Evo Morales became President of Bolivia in January 22nd, 2006, being the sixty-fifth elected in the plurinational state of Bolivia. He  was part of the party called movement of socialism and now  is a former President.

- But what was the matter with the government of Evo Morales?
It is true that Evo Morales made that economy of Bolivia grow, since it is rich in natural resources, but then the citizens discovered that every five years, in the elections of the new government and President, he always won and that was a big possibility that he might have been buying votes, so this made that the citizens feel cheated and wanted to fight for their human rights and also for a more democratic government.

In that moment, when this problematic situation started, by the way this caused people's protests on October 21st, 2019. This crisis became bigger and many people left their homes to protest for an honest government and for a democratic government.

All these protests had consequences for many civilians, children among them, kids that are innocent and are not guilty of this corruption.

But all these protests had consequences and the last  ones in Nov. 2019 had many indigenous killed, after Evo Morales resigned from the presidency of Bolivia.

One of the main things why Evo Morales resigned was because he had lost the support of the police chief named Vladimir Calderon, who demanded his resignation while he lost too the support of Williams Kalimán, the commander and chief of the armed forces, who only suggested  his resignation.

The civilians celebrated because after fourteen years, he finally resigned of the presidency, so they were happy because they now are able to have an honest government, without corruption, and a government that fights for the rights of the civilians, something that is very important.

This crisis and all this situation is a big example that all is possible and that always, no matter the circumstances, we should fight for our rights and also fight for a good government because we depend on it.

But, what will happen with Bolivia without president?
After the resignation of Evo Morales, there are rumors that there will be a call for new elections and for that
reason, the Mexican government denounced that if that was a coup d'etat, a political asylum to Evo Morales should be given.

President of the United States, Donald Trump, assured that this  nation sends a message to the regimes of Venezuela and Nicaragua, also fighting against illegal governments, and ASO issued a statement in which affirms that they reject Bolivians trying to bring Evo back.
