Are Bolivian Resources' Nationalization Behind All Its Riots?

Bolivian Presidency

Imagen relacionadaDespite the job that was made by Ex-Bolivian president Evo Morales, on Nov. 10th, 2019, he revoked from his position.

As a backstory, we can recognize one of his biggest achievements. Just entering to his presidency, he declared that the power belonged to the indigenous groups of Bolivia and the natural resources would be nationalized. As he decided this, this was backed up by a referendum which was celebrated during the presidency of Carlos Mesa, but not implemented by him.

Which took Morales to quit, was the moment where the army
decided to avoid holding down the protesters, this decision came as a lesson back from 2003. When with  Ex- President Gonzalo Sanchez de Lozada decided to use the army against protesters, in favor of the nationalization of the gas deposits of the country. Many citizens were killed during the unrest and thousands were injured, which took the families of the victims to sue the army and the government, and this cost a lot.

On the contrary, countries like Venezuela, are still in the middle of the crisis because the government continues to opress their citizens, so maybe this could be used as an example of the actions that should be taken in Venezuelan territory to aid the citizens.
