INTERNET PROS AND CONS
Internet has become one of the main developers of our society, since it is helpful in so many ways because it's a tool that has become vital nowadays. Internet is available to anyone with an electronic device anytime, but as great as this is, it can be very harmful, because this makes the use of internet so easy, really anyone can use it.
One of the aspects, is that on the internet you can find a variety of subjects, which can show you the two sides of everything, or even many more than just two. This is why the internet can’t be defined as either good or bad, and why it really can be both. Everyone has different opinions about it and can either agree or disagree on this subject, so I would like to recollect all of those features and present them to you.
Internet is great because today it helps you stay in touch and
informed about everything happening in the world. This contributes to stopping ignorance, since everyone has the ability to stay in touch with absolutely everything happening, even if it is at the other side of the world. Also it is great because, as our society evolves, we either have developed obligations, like for example paying bills or we get to enjoy those things that entertain us, like shopping, or browsing for the latest trend. All of those, we can do with just a click, so it makes the internet great and extremely convenient for most situations.
As well you can use it as a tool of entertainment, for watching a show, movie, or video on everything you would like. Another great thing can be social media, which is an even easier way to stay informed about what’s going on, on someone else’s life.The Internet truly has everything, that can go from studying to working, or either just pure enjoyment, so this is why I agree when someone says the internet is great.
The other way of looking at the internet, is analyzing its bad side, which comes with the fact that this tool has been developed for over 25 years and this makes it very broad and wide, so the content you can find on the internet is immense.
This is why internet isn’t for everyone and should be used with caution, especially for little kids. Little kids can’t use the internet by themselves, because regarding any topic, the internet shows the good and the bad side of it. This is why parents or tutors should regulate the use of the internet among kids.
Also, due to how wide it is; for example, when investigating you won’t find just what you are looking for, most likely you have to browse in detail or else you will find what you are not looking for, or somehow anything, but in a more open perspective. The other part of the Internet is that it can be very addictive, not only because of certain contents, like games or those things, but also because of excessive use. I mean, haven’t you heard of someone that is addicted to texting or being informed on everything happening on social media? That can be even catalogued as a condition and is one of the biggest threats the internet has. This is why I disagree on the vitality of internet, because sometimes a cleanse and internet free time is better for you.
So, those are the reasons why no one can say either the
Internet is good or bad, because it has everything. It can not only be great if you know how to use it and if you use it properly, balancing the time you spend on it, or being cautious of those things you look for, but also can be extremely dangerous if you sleep on it and have no caution on sites you access, because you really don’t know who’s looking, so your duty is to use it carefully and responsibly. In the end, everything in life is a matter of balance, not too little, but yet not too much.
