Which is more intelligent: a dolphin or a chimpanzee?
It is often said that dolphins are one of the
most intelligent animals, but why is no one talking about the great and
underrated capabilities of the chimpanzees? Animal intelligence is often
discussed yet rarely understood. That's why in the following essay, both sides
will be compared.
First of all, it is worth considering that
dolphins have greater cognitive abilities than chimpanzees. Which could be sub
estimated because they don't have a precision manipulation organ-like
chimpanzees. On the other hand, chimpanzees can learn at least 2000 words or
more but they cannot understand sentences, neither can understand directions.
Another point worth noting is that chimpanzees have similar facial expressions to ours, which makes it more easy to read them. Unlike dolphins, which are more intelligent but hard to read.

In conclusion, even though both animals are
considered very smart and bright, the dolphin takes the crown. Because chimps
may resemble us, dolphins are proven to be smarter in some ways. On the other
hand, they both have great cognitive abilities and could communicate with us.
However, I think that the final decision on who is more intelligent is
subjective and depends on what cognitive abilities you value more.
