THE DIAMOND

New York, 2019

When you look up in the New York sky, your sight will instantly be attracted to the Diamond.

The Diamond is the biggest architectural proposal from the last centuries that doubled the high of the Empire State, made of shining glass, and with a gigantic Diamond at the top. The building had 5 sections. The first one was open to all public, it functioned as a mall, an enormous mall, and it had shops of 4, 5 and 6 floors! The best restaurants, a library, a movie theater, and even a casino! 

The second section is the biggest and coolest zoo and aquarium in the world! It is composed by 5 floors, and the divisions are made of glass, so you can see the people walking above you, the sharks swimming, and even an elephant passing by.

Besides, this zoo and aquarium count with the highest

security system in the world, which allows you to interact with every kind of animal without risking your life, even a hyena or a tiger.

The third one we can say that is the boring part. ALL buildings need an administration section to work, so in here we can find a lot of offices. Where all the accountability, business, and economy stuff that no one cares about happen. But hey, there is actually a fun thing, working there is awesome, there is nothing as cool as having lunch next to a dolphin every time you feel like it.

The fourth section is a pleasure that only the richest people in the world can afford. You are right, the fourth section gives you the opportunity to actually live in the Diamond. It is like living in a city within a city. The Diamond gives you all you could ever need without even leaving the building, a hospital, a school, a supermarket, everything you can think of, you can find it in the Diamond, even an artificial beach!

And finally we came to the end of this awesome tour...The Diamond, but no, I am not talking about the building. I am referring to the gigantic diamond at the top.

The Diamond is not there as mere decoration. Even though it makes the building look fantastic and modern. The Diamond works as a lookout. Having the best view of the world. Where you can actually see the clouds centimeters away from your face.

Or at least, it will work as a lookout. Because the Diamond is the only section in the building that hasn’t been open to all public. Its inauguration is programmed for January the 1^st of 2020.

Because of the construction of the Diamond, two lucky partners, Kagami, a Chinese 30 years old woman, and Luka, a Canadian 35 years old man have become some of the most important and influential people on the world. And with the inauguration of the top of the Diamond, they will surely become the most important on the whole world.

One December night, just days away from the event, they were chilling at the top, and enjoying the view, remembering all the times together, and just to say, a little bit drunk. That view took all their regrets away.

Because all the emporium they had created was nothing more than an illusion. The plans stolen from a bright young lady who was now in a coma after a mysterious accident. The world will forget her, and will continue admiring Kagami and Luka. Blinded by this machiavellian plan. Happy in their ignorance. But punishment will come.
