Movie Vs Real Story

The Birds

What differences can you appreciate between the clips of the movie shown during class time and the original story?
The clips showed to us were really direct in were graphically describing the threat that birds were. Meanwhile, the story was slowly building up until the point you knew the actual danger the birds could impose.

As in the clips you're showed the antagonists or monsters (in this case they were birds) you experienced a feeling of horror, while in the story, as the suspense was something really felt during the reading, you most likely experienced the feeling of terror.

Different birds behave differently for many reasons, but the
main one is their environment. If you’re used to living in a dangerous place you’ll eventually learn to defend yourself from danger. Nevertheless, if you grew up in a pacific place, when facing danger, you won’t know for sure what  the best option is, so you most likely will end up fleeing.

This applies to birds as well, if they’re owls or eagles which have to fight for food and territory, they’ll be very hostile and easily triggered. However, robbins or bluebirds, which feed on fruit or tiny insects will either flee or try to get to know you and  what your purpose is.

People get information about birds' behavior by inspecting their reactions to certain triggers, like sudden movement, their diet, what species they share environment with, amongst other factors that may determine their behavior. Watching them in the wild, or birding, is quite effective though.
