EF CHALLENGE: MY EXPERIENCE
Last year I
participated on the EF challenge contest, It was one of the best experiences of
my life, I loved it so much that I told Ms. Odilia I had found my inspiration,
I had found my passion. A month or two ago, she told my class we were going to
participate again on the EF challenge and the question we had to answer was “What
are you hopes for the future of your society?”, immediately I thought I had my
speech all figured out, I thought I knew what I wanted, but I guess it was
harder than I thought, I wanted to write something real, something possible,
because for me having an utopic idea is the same as nothing.
So I started
writing my speech and during this I learned not only about my generation but also
about myself. The EF challenge has given me time to think about my opinion,
about my desires and even about my dreams, I´ve learned that we sometimes
forget about what is important and get lost in the process. If you ask me right
now what I want for the future, I will probably answer that the only thing I
want is no fear, because fear is an illusion that we create in our heads and
that repeatedly stops you from reaching your goals.
This year`s
challenge was as enriching as the last one. One day I will grow up and see my
evolution, how my ideas have changed with time and I hope that I continue being
a leader and fulfilling each and every expectation I have about myself.
I encourage you
to try new things, because if I found my thing in something I was at first
skeptical, you can also find it, and last the quote I used in my speech that I
want everyone reading remembers “Don’t
fear change you may loose something good, but you may also win something great”.
With love,
Isabella.
