Peace Through Anti-Corruption Campaingns.

How to Make from Colombia a More Peaceful Country?

In order to understand in a better way this topic, I consider really important to know the meaning of peace. It is a state of security or order within a community, provided for / by law or custom. So by the time of analyzing if Colombia is a peaceful country, it is obvious that it is not. So to achieve this goal, make from Colombia a peaceful country, is necessary first of all, to know about its history. Secondly to change our sim card in order to be conscious enough about our country.

For us to be aware enough about all the processes that Colombia has faced, is necessary to make a brief accountability of all its history. First of all, we, as Colombian people, have suffered about a million of things. The government is not fair with us, we can easily find in our country corruption in any place, or negotiation. Our presidents make lots of promises but at the time of accomplishing them, they don’t.

Corruption permeates several sectors of the Colombian economy. The corruption cases are as big an obstacle for a transparent and efficient administration, as they are for a competitive investment climate. The large networks of clientelism are particularly manifested in the public contracting sector.

Colombia has implemented many alternatives with the goal
of ending up with this problem. Those are, The Colombian Penal Code and the Anti-Corruption Act, they have the function of criminalizing several forms of corruption, including active and passive bribery, extortion, abuse of office and the bribery of foreign officials through gifts and facilitation payments, that are also prohibited under Colombian laws.

Nonetheless, these practices are widespread. The government generally implemented anti-corruption laws effectively, despite some instances of official impunity being reported.

So for me, if we face the problem of corruption that we have, we can easily make from Colombia a peaceful country. We can make campaigns to show how corruption affects our country in a political, economic and cultural way. Let's fight for a transparent government!
