Nelson Mandela

Tribute To A Great Leader

Nelson Mandela (July 18th, 1918 to December 5th, 2013) was a nonviolence activist, politician and philanthropist. He fought pacifically against the racial segregation in South Africa and because of that he was sent to prison for about 27 years, when he was finally released in 1990, after demonstrations, with both domestic and international protests, which ended in his libaration.

Not even with that punishment he quitted to fight for his race,
so after years struggling for his people's rights, he became South Africa’s first black President from 1994 to 1999 and the first to propose democratic ideas.

Nelson is known around all the world because of his pure actions, his courage and perseverance in everything he did. He had one goal and he achieved it, that was exactly what a great leader does.

For me, a great leader needs to have self- sacrifice, compassion, and needs to know how to learn from his errors. Society could be better if everyone had characteristics of a great leader! If everything is in the state of mind, let's change our mindsets!
