Colombian justice has shown its true colors. After the JEP (Jurisdiccion Especial para la Paz) decided to deny the request coming from the United States of America extradite Seuxis Pausias ‘Jesús Santrich’ Hernández Solarte.
He had been accused of attempting to send 10 tons of cocaine to the United States on December 1st, 2016, when the peace agreement was signed.
This decision left doubts and uncertanity all around the country. and left the citizens questionning if our country can even have some sort of true justice.
In addition to this, the JEP also decided to leave the accused free of charges; however, when he was currently about to leave the jail La Picota in Bogota, because of not being considered a threat to society, he was recaptured and on May 20th, 2019 he was booked in order to be indicted at the court of Paloquemao with criminal conspiracy and association to deal with drugs. Let's see how this case ends up. Ther will be true justice?
