The Sheep 15% human

 The Sheep 15% human

One of the fields that is moving faster and that has been causing more headaches is genetic research. This type of study is linked, inevitably, to the ethical and moral laws involved in the modification and creation of new species, since we do not know very well what kind of reactions these individuals can provoke in a natural environment and without any control.
If we add to this the use of some human genes in other species, ethical-moral issues increase more and the barrier between what is right and what is wrong begins to fade in a somewhat dangerous way.

What is a transgenic animal?

Are those that have been genetically modified by changing some sequence of their DNA to achieve a particular effect. These operations may be used for such praiseworthy purposes as progress in the treatment of certain diseases, the manufacture of some drugs endogenously, xenotransplantation (use of animal organs in humans without the possibility of rejection) or purely commercial purposes such as the change of some characteristics of certain animals for pure economic interest.
(Today there is no transgenic animal that is legally allowed for human consumption.)

Here we give you an example of transgenic animal: The sheep 15% human

Professor Esmail Zanjani of the University of Nevada is responsible for this animal. 7 years and 5 million pounds sterling (€ 7,000,000) have been needed to create this hybrid.
This sheep will allow, in the not too distant future, to use its organs to be transplanted to humans in case of need. The liver, heart, lungs, and brain are the parts that share the most genetic material with humans.

The debates about the ethics and morality of these studies are already on the lips of all the scientists in favor and against them.
