How to Care for Our Cardiovascular System

Today, we wanted to show you the importance of your cardiovascular system, but first, we need to know why this system is so important.

So, the cardiovascular system is made up of heart and blood vessels. The two main roles of the cardiovascular system include the transportation of oxygen, blood cells, water and nutrients around the body to cells, transporting and removing waste. The cardiovascular system also protects the body from infections and distributes heat accordingly.

And based on this information we gave you, here are going to give you some really efficient tips that to help having it in good condition.

1. Eat your fruits and veggies
Fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and other compounds that protect against heart
disease. Unfortunately, most people are missing out on these benefits. Roughly 90 percent of people fail to eat the minimum recommended servings of fruits and vegetables. For maximum benefit aim to have five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

2. Control Cholesterol

Eating foods high in saturated fat, trans fat or cholesterol can lead to high blood cholesterol. To help keep your cholesterol levels down, eat foods low in saturated fat and trans fat, such as lean chicken or turkey (roasted or baked, with skin removed), fruits and veggies, low-fat or fat-free dairy products and whole grains.

3. Go Nuts

Nuts are packed with heart-healthy unsaturated fats and eating them helps your heart. Many nuts are high in the same omega-3 fats found in fatty fish. They're also high in protein and provide a good source of fiber. Nuts are dense in calories so about a handful is an appropriate serving. However, you have to control the number of nuts that you eat.

4. Exercise with the help of a trainer. For at least thrice a week.
