The wall

The Wall

Stuck in darkness
only himself to fear
must escape
ought not let him die
even so, trapped
even the closest
none were to love
emptiness within
hadn’t known; hadn’t heard
lie he there
maintaining silent cries
persistence in patience
equinox unseen; yet still desired
thrust into confinement
don’t let him labor
only in vain
locked in his own doing
no avail
exclusion
alleviation he desires
there he remains
mental atrophy
fixed, his wall remains
even so, trapped
don’t overlook
eminent oblivion.
